We hope to honor our Dad, and the 50 million people living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and all other neurological diseases worldwide by doing our part to bring awareness and funding to help find a cure.
Our dad, founder of Kith & Kin Cellars and our sister brand Round Pond Estate, Bob MacDonnell was an old fashioned kind of guy. He believed in hard work, kindness, and taking care of your people. He believed in giving back by investing in future generations. Dad, our hero and mentor, always put people first and would be the first to give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it.
Our Dad lost his battle with Alzheimer’s on May 18, 2021 and our family knows all too well how shattering it is to watch a loved one struggle with the disease. We hope to honor the work that Dad started by giving back in a way we hope would make him proud; through the support of our Round Pond team, the promise to deliver our best every day to our customers, and the commitment to making the world a better place by fighting to end Alzheimer’s.
A portion of every Kith & Kin bottle sold is donated to Alzheimer’s Association®. The mission of the Alzheimer’s Association is to lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

Each June, our sister brand Round Pond Estate is proud to donate 10% of the proceeds from Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc sales to the Alzheimer’s Association®.

In tribute to our father and those impacted in our community, we created Honouren, a special commemorative wine showcasing photos of those living with, or lost to, Alzheimer’s as our way of bringing together community and raising vital funds for the fight.
We are proud to donate 50% of the proceeds of each bottle sold to causes dedicated to ending Alzheimer’s.
Each fall we join our local Napa neighbors and participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This event allows us to make an impact in our local community while continuing to show up and support all of the families around us who are dealing with this devastating disease. This three mile walk raises awareness in our community while also raising funds for research, this year alone the walk raised over $134,000 for this important cause.

Round Pond Estate will donate 25% of proceeds from each bottle of Honouren sold from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025, to support the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association and 25% of proceeds from each bottle of Honouren sold from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025, to support the mission of the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation, with a minimum donation of $25,000.
